Hi Guys,

When you get a MONSTER hand, you should NOT slow play it.

Here's why:

"Slow playing" means that you don't bet very much, or bet

nothing at all, in hopes that your opponent makes a big bet

or tries to bluff.

For instance, if you got two Aces before the flop and only

called the big blind, you would be "slow playing" your Aces.

Or if you flopped a straight and just "checked", you would

I won a $22.00 Satilite to get into this $200 buy in Tournement on Sunday Evening. We all started off with 1500 chips and there were 1,114 runners. Within about 5 hands I was down to 750 chips due to a couple beats (not bad one's just full house against Ace High Flushes and the like). So anyway I battled back and took a couple gambles and sat comfortably at 15-20K in chips through most of the tournement. After about 5hrs, I ended up beating out 1,099 players to come 45th. Have you ever heard anyone say "Any 2 cards can win, it doesn't matter what you play"?

Essentially, my advice should help you see that any 2 cards can win, but at the same time preach that THE BETTER STARTING HANDS WIN ON THE FLOP MUCH MORE OFTEN. Which leads to them winning you chips more often!

Even when low cards hit, even hit big, they can be easily beaten / outdrawn. Like last night for example, I was on the big blind in a $5 sit n go with 6 3 off-suit and i hit 2 pair ...
